The Asene Manso Akroso District Assembly held a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday 23rd August, 2023 as part of it’s mission to provide quality and free flow of service delivery in the district.
In her welcome address, the District Coordinating director Madam Gladys Asamoah Addai read the agenda for the meeting which was to present the implementation on Budgeted projects and programmes for 2022 and pleaded on members commitment and contribution to make a successful sitting.
Mr. Prince Osei Gyamfi the Assistant Budget took the audience through a power point presentation which focused on some major projects and programmes that were implemented in 2022. He also emphasized that, the projects are sector specific which includes Education, Health, Sanitation, Agriculture, Roads, Market, Environmental and disaster Management, Public safety and security, among others.
The DCE Hon. Alex Incoom also addressed the gathering on both major and minor developmental issues captured in the Medium-term development plan. He pleaded that if any community experiences slow delivery of projects they should have patience and tolerance.
He added that there is always a constraint in the yearly budget implementation as the Assembly heavily relies on Grants which is not consistent and reliable.
The chairperson thanked the gathering for their participation and encouraged all members present to take the role and responsibility towards developing the Asene Manso Akroso District.
In attendance were Traditional Leaders, Assembly Members, some staff of the AMADA among others.
