The District Agric Department head by Mr. Stephen Boadi of Asene Manso Akroso District Assembly (AMADA) in collaboration with Ideal women group participated in this years Eastern Commodity Satellite Market Fair held at the Appenteng Hall, Wesley Methodist Cathedral – Koforidua on 2nd to 6th September, 2024, on the THEME: FOSTERING AGRIBUSINESS GROWTH AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT: THE ROLE OF THE EASTERN COMMODITY SATELLITE MARKET FAIR. This was to help promote private businesses in various communities or districts at the regional level.
The Eastern commodity satellite market fair was organised by the Eastern Regional Agric Department in partnership with the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council and some sponsors and partners like World Food Programme, Yara, Ghana Export Promotion Authority etc. to help input dealers, farmers and processors within the region to get market for their products and services.
Some of the commodities on exhibition ranges from palm oil,palm kernel oil, rice, coconut chips, fresh coconut water, flakes, liquid soap, ginger powder, tom brown, guinea fowl, honey, plantain etc.
